I spent some time at Brown County State Park in Indiana recently with my family. We had a great time connecting, spending time in nature, and eating good food. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures of the beauty that surrounded us.

Easy Styrofoam Finger Puppet
I'm seeing my adorable nephew and niece this week and I am so excited. I wanted to make them something silly and fun so when I saw this I knew I wanted to whip up a couple.
I was cracking myself up while taking these pictures. Can't wait to play with them with them!

Just for Fun Egg Faces
The one on the end reminds me of the character from The Goonies. And now I want to watch that again...

White Bean Salad with Tuna and Parsley
I've been loving the cold salads I've been making recently. They make for the perfect lunch.
Mix together:
1 can (15.5 oz) white beans (rinsed and drained)
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
black pepper & salt (to taste)
Stir in:
1 cup chopped parsley
1/4 cup diced red onion
1 (5-6 oz) can of tuna
And that's it! Should last for a couple days in the fridge.
Enjoy!

DIY Polka Dot Wall
We don't have many blank walls in our apartment. I'm somebody that moves in and throws every painting and frame I own up on the walls within a couple days to make it feel like home. But somehow, oh somehow, we ended up with a very plain kitchen nook. And we can't have that!
So, I decided to add some polka dots to it!

I basically just cut out circles and taped them up. A cute temporary decoration!

Delicious & Light Lemon Cookies
I saw this recipe over here and wanted to make it immediately. Lemon and cookies...two of my favorites. After officially taste testing, my hubby told me that these were some of the best cookies that I've ever made. Lucky for him and me...they were also some of the easiest!
Mix together:
1 Box Lemon Cake Mix
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
Preheat the oven to 350. Line some cookie sheets with parchment paper then plop 'em on! Aim for teaspoon size scoops. Bake for 8-10 minutes. I found that I liked the crispier ones better.
Hope you enjoy!

DIY Simple Tee to Tank Revamp
I've had this purple t-shirt for several years now and it always just felt a bit off when I wore it. It always felt too tight around my neck...so I decided to cut the neck off. And once I started I just couldn't stop my scissors from cutting off the sleeves, too.
I used some of the sleeves to add a little loop around the top of the tank to add some pizzazz.

Oregon Country Fair
I've officially survived my first Oregon Country Fair. After being greeted by a herd of cows on stilts shaking their udders at me, I knew I was in for quite the experience...

DIY Easy Medicine Cabinet Remake
I have disliked the inside of our medicine cabinet for a while now, so when I saw this I knew that I had to get to it. I went down to our local recycling arts store and found some scrap-booking paper that I liked. Then I basically just mod podged it to the back. I love the added pizzazz that it gives!
